 A Little About Me
 
Hi there! My name is Susan and this was my dog ~ Luke. He was 12 years old when he crossed the Rainbow Bridge on May 13, 2007. His five year old sister, Madison (Maddie) crossed the Rainbow Bridge on March 13, 2007. They are still sorely missed, especially by five year old Riley, who no longer has his big sister and brother to play with. Sophie, the rescued kitty from the "hood" where I used to work, is usually curled up in the laundry basket or sitting on her cat tree looking out of the window. Creating their pages are on my to do list. :)
I have been an elementary teacher for 21 years. Although, three of those years I was a TOSA (Teacher On Special Assignment). I enjoyed working with teachers as a Reading First Coach but I decided it was time to return to the classroom this 2008-2009 school year. I'm currently teaching at the newly created High Ability School in our district.
Working with children is very meaningful but at the same time very challenging.
I collect Boyd Bears, Bunnies, Kittens, Snowmen and Birdhouses.
  
 
My dangerous obsessions are: knitting; staying up late, and scrapbooking.
I start and end the day with a good cup of French Vanilla coffee.
 I love to burn Yankee Candles.
 I enjoy planting flowers, however, I hate doing all of the other yard work.
Chocolate is my favorite snack!
My favorite thing to do is sit on my deck, in front of a fire burning in my outdoor fireplace, and read a book.
